All EDC coaches are fully qualified, they are all members of the Association for Coaching and they receive regular supervision. They have all worked for many years at senior levels across a range of disciplines in private and public sector organisations.

We go to great lengths to match each client to the most appropriate coach and we employ formal feedback mechanisms to ensure that the relationship is a success.

Dr Peter Grey
Since founding EDC 20 years ago Peter has delivered 20,000 hours of coaching to Board level and near Board level executives, top teams and 'next generation leaders'.


His special strength and experience derive from the great diversity he has seen in his business life. He has managed major corporations in Britain, in the USA and on mainland Europe. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering.

Peter's focus is on developing individual and organisational capability and he has worked across all areas of business, both private and public sector, from Motorola to the BBC and from RBS to the NHS. He has also been instrumental in influencing the growth of the market for Executive Coaching over this time.



Julie Wootton

Julie is an Accredited APECS and EMCC  Executive Coach and BACP Accredited Counsellor Psychotherapist.

She has a MA in Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and supervises executive coaches. Her focus is on working with Board level executives, senior managers, top teams, and high potentials, to develop corporate capability.

The breadth of her earlier career in sales, marketing, executive search and consultancy, together with thousands of hours of coaching (eg, for BBC, RBS, NHS, Unilever, etc) has provided an extensive understanding of a wide range of business sectors, both public and private, as well as the challenges faced by executives in corporate life.

Julie provides a safe, containing environment for clients to explore their professional issues, develop their goals and meet their own as well as the corporate objectives.

She  uses a number of models and psychometrics in her coaching programmes, including Myers-Briggs, emotional intelligence, a Leadership/Management 360 degree profile and a Life/Work Balance model, developed from her time as a consultant with KPMG.


Barrie Sheppard

Barrie is an experienced CIPD qualified advanced coach and mentor with a particular interest in leadership and team relationships and the positive impact these can have on organisations and individuals. He has experience in working with both private and public sector organisations, up to and including Board level.

His great strength is the positive impact he has on people. He will immediately engage you in a conversation that will have energy and leave you feeling optimistic and confident of the future.

He has developed the unique '4 Leadership Tools' model which contains simple, yet extremely effective techniques to support enhanced leadership. Further, Barrie has created an Empowerment model to help Directors and Boards free up time to concentrate on more strategic issues.

His experience in leading businesses and organisational change spans over 30 years and ranges from large Blue Chip corporate environments (Unilever) to small start-up ventures. He is an approved MiRo Behaviour Psychometric practitioner and is licensed to use MRG's Sales Behaviour profiling tool.


Roger Rawlinson

Roger specialises in coaching executives and senior managers, developing senior teams, leading organisational change and consulting on all aspects of HR practice.

His roles as HR Director and Chief Executive across a variety of sectors over the past fifteen years have invariably involved major organisational change and he has a particular interest in coaching executives to plan and implement organisational change in order to ensure its success. 

Roger's experience includes fifteen years as an HR Director in the public and private sectors and two periods as a Chief Executive. He has held board positions in retail, manufacturing and healthcare and has also had executive responsibility for learning, development and internal communications.

He trained as an executive coach at Henley Management College in 2007 and has been coaching executives across a range of sectors since then.


Tony Bruce

Tony's focus is on enhancing organisational success and capability through individual coaching and mentorship; and Board; team and relationship development.  His strength is in his combination of coaching training and experience and his accomplished career as a CEO and Director of Finance.

Tony is an experience and Ashridge trained coach offering bespoke coaching, mentorship and organisational consulting solutions to meet clients needs.  He also brings over 20 years experience as a successful CEO across all sectors of the NHS, including commissioning; acute, community and mental health trusts and the strategic tier.  He has worked closely with social care and other partners.  He has delivered both challenging performance and delivery targets and innovative informational change through effective organisational design and development.

He has been recognised by both the OPM and Aston University for his orgaqnisationall development work, including effective team development across organisational boundaries.

Tony is passionate about supporting systems, organisation and individuals to maximise their capability for success, and with his combined coaching skills and leadership experience, is well placed to do this,
